4WD U-Drive Gold Trail For Up To Four
Overview
We supply you with your own Landcruiser or Pajero 4WD vehicle, in which you can take up to four people. You'll also get your very own guide with support vehicle in case you get stuck.
We start with an instruction session to get to know the 4WD vehicle and then choose one of four trails depending on how much excitement and adrenalin pumping adventure you want. You will be led by a qualified instructor and you'll feel your off-road experience improve dramatically.
You'll meet one of the Wild West's local gold prospectors who will take you into the outback to visit one of his claims. He aims to have gold in your pan within one hour or he'll eat his hat!
You'll enjoy a short rainforest walk and negotiate the early Chinese gold-diggers maze. View incredible glow-worms in the cave left at the Deviation (if you select this route).
On the way, make your fortune at the 1860's Wild West Gold Mine. Experience the Wild West's living heritage as you pan for the elusive gold flakes & red garnets. See how the old timers did it - you can operate their gold sluice boxes and their billy teapots!
You'll follow stage coach trails built in the 1860's stopping at points of historical, landform and recreational interest. You can choose the amount of adrenalin you want, by selecting the trail's level of difficulty. You'll experience the challenges and thrills of the 1860's gold miners, but in complete comfort!
Your guides are all local 4WD enthusiasts who are passionate about the history and ecology of the area.
