Overview

You'll really have your partner purring with this white water rafting and romantic hot pool experience!

Imagine soaking up the heat of natural hot-pools and sharing a bottle of champagne among stunning mountain peaks and forest. Followed by some great white water rafting fun and then finishing with more time relaxing in the natural hot-pools!

This adventure is ideal for couples wanting to add some special romance to their relationship but who still like to live life on the edge!

Your adventure starts with a guided one and a half hour walk along an alpine valley with beautiful views passing through the stunning rainforests.

Before starting the rafting activity, we begin with a full pre-trip safety briefing. The level of difficulty is entirely up to you. We spend approximately 80 minutes on the river. This includes 3 runs on grade 3 rapids and 10 runs on grade 2 rapids. To top off a great rafting trip, you'll enjoy champagne and cuddles in the hot spa! Enjoy a picnic lunch in this World Heritage wilderness setting, while soaking in natural hot-pools beside the river before gearing up for the rafting activity.

We supply you with all the gear you need including footwear for the trail. You'll also learn about rainforest ecology and natural remedies on this adventure activity.

Numbers

We operate with a maximum group of 12 people. Each trip is different depending on your interests and ability. You will be placed with a raft group that suits your ability.

Session Time

Trips run everyday except Christmas Day & New Years morning. Reporting time is 7:30am in Greymouth or we can pickup from Hokitika accommodation at 8:15am. Alternatively you can meet at the river at Hari Hari at 9:30am. We are particularly busy during Summer so book at least 2 weeks in advance.

Guidelines & Restrictions

You need to be of average fitness and have reasonable agility levels. You must have some basic swimming skills. You must be at least 12 years of age to participate in this activity.

You will be required to complete a medical disclosure form. This helps us to keep you comfortable and safe. Your guides are fun, qualified and well experienced.

Extra Info

You will need to bring a swimsuit and a towel. We provide everything else - including thermal clothing and boots.
