Overview

We start the day complimentary coffee and then complete around 30 minutes of instruction on driving lines, safety and how to operate the cars.

After the brief, we fit you into your race suit, helmet, boots and gloves ready to start the driving part of the day. First up tuition laps one of our instructors will drive you and a friend around the track to help cement the classroom tuition. Now comes the exciting part where you will get to drive on the circuit. Complete 1 session around the circuit and push yourself and the car to the limit to beat your best time!

All of our racing cars are fitted with electronic data collection dashes and the information from your laps will be downloaded after each session. At the end of the day, you will be presented with a cap and a folder containing all of your race information and a certificate displaying your fastest lap time.

Numbers

We operate with a maximum of ten people per session. For safety reasons, we limit the number of cars on the track at any one time to five. You will be with others on the day, but our instructors are available at all times to guide you and give you advice.

Session Time

The experience operates on pre-booked dates at the circuit. Bookings should be made at least 1 week in advance and are subject to availability. Session length - up to 1.5 hours in duration. This includes 30 minutes tuition / safety brief.

Guidelines & Restrictions

We provide all safety gear. Please bring a pair of socks on the day. You must be 14 years or older and be able to drive a manual vehicle. This is not recommended for people with a back or neck injury or during pregnancy.

This experience takes place at Taupo Motorsport Park, Broadlands Road, Taupo. You will be required to sign a waiver prior to undertaking the activity. A damage indemnity waiver with reduced excess is available at an additional cost of $50 (paid on day).

1 session is as follows. Track 3 = 10 laps Track 2 = 6 laps The difference in lasp relates to the track length.
