Scuba Diving For Beginners
Overview
Your scuba diving experience begins by meeting your friendly, enthusiastic and trained PADI Instructor. They will be with you the whole time that you are underwater!
You will start by watching a short video that outlines some key techniques of breathing underwater and basic dive skills.
We then head to the pool for your first experience underwater and you will take your first breaths underwater in the pool or pool like conditions and practise getting used to the equipment.
You will be shown how to use the gear and learn some skills that will enable you to comfortably enjoy your dive. Now it's time to get wet and to put all the new skills in action!
You will experience a 'real dive' in the ocean under the direct supervision of your instructor. Your instructor will show you the marine and plant life throughout a 40 minute underwater experience that you will never forget! Your dive will be up to 40 minutes or until your air supply reaches a pre-determined supply limit. During the dive you might go as deep as twelve metres.
After your experience you will receive a certificate of participation. This can be credited towards a full learn to dive course if you become addicted and want to dive more frequently!
You must be over ten years of age to participate in scuba diving. Please note that some medical conditions are incompatible with scuba diving. Please inform your instructor of any prior medical conditions before diving.
